CDA chairman lauds public interest in campaign

Islamabad Property: Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Syed Tahir Shahbaz has said that participation of the residents of Islamabad in the campaign ‘Clean and Green Islamabad’ is amazing and it has proved that they have keen interest in resolving civic issues.
He said this on the occasion of launching ceremony of the sector-wise ‘Clean and Green Islamabad’ campaign in Sector G-7 here on Tuesday. On the occasion, Member Administration Munir Ahmad Chaudhry, Member Engineering Sanaullah Aman, Member Environment Ahsan Ali Mangi officers, schoolchildren, members of civil society, members of the Sector G-7 Citizens Committee and traders were present on the occasion.
The participants of the campaign also took part in an awareness walk. Schoolchildren displayed placards inscribed with awareness slogans on ‘Neat and Clean Islamabad Property’. The awareness walk started from the CDA Camp Office and ended at the Police Station in Markaz G-7.
The CDA chairman directed the officials of environment, sanitation, municipal administration and engineering wings of the authority to resolve the grievances of residents and traders of Sector G-7 on priority basis. The camp office would be operatiional for three days, adding that he would personally visit the camp office at different times.
He directed the member engineering to pay special attention to patchwork on roads.
Earlier, CDA Chairman Syed Tahir Shahbaz visited different areas of the sector to examine roads, parks, water supply system, sewerage system and grounds. He directed the concerned formations of the authority to carry out repair, maintenance and renovation work in those areas.
