Islamabad—Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Syed Tahir
Shahbaz has said that achieving target goals of “Clean and Green
Islamabad with support, cooperation of citizens, was imperative. On the
occasion of launching ceremony of the sector-wise “Clean and Green
Islamabad” campaign in Sector I-9 here on Monday, he said that Islamabad
was the beautiful city of Country, and maintaining the beauty and
highlighting the green character offederal capital was the dire need of
the hour.
On this occasion Chief Coordinator of “Clean and Green Islamabad Property” campaign and Member Planning and Design, Syed Mustafain Kazmi, member administration, Munir Ahmad Chaudhry, member engineering, Sanaullah Aman, officers and officials of CDA, School children, member ofcivil society, Sector Citizens Committee, Traders and a large number of citizens were also present; who also joined an awareness walk on “Clean and Green Islamabad” campaign, and school childrendisplayed placards inscribed with awareness slogans about Neat and Clean Islamabad.
Chairman CDA directed the officers and officials of Environment, Sanitation, MunicipalAdministration and Engineering Wings of the authority to resolve the grievances of residents andtraders of Sector I-9 at the 3-day camp office on priority. He assured that he would personally visit to the camp office at different times to inspect the performance of the deputed officers and officials in Sector I-9; while he assured to remain in contact with the public effective functioning of the campaign so that the public could get the benefits of the ongoing drive.
Chairman CDA said that sector-wise “Clean and Green Islamabad Property” campaign was initiated from Sector I-10 and the campaign was shifted to Sector G-10, G-11 and G-9, adding that today he has visited Sector I-10 to inspect the consistency of the drive. He urged the officers and officials to serve the public with zeal. Earlier, Chairman CDA, Syed Tahir Shahbaz visited different areas of Sector I-9 and Markaz I-9 to examine roads, parks, water supply system, sewerage system and ground.
