CDA to launch Clean Green Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Syed Tahir Shahbaz will formally inaugurate the “Clean  Green Islamabad”, a sector-wise renovation, up-gradation and beautification campaign.
The campaign will be started from Social Dispensary, Markaz I-10. Officers and officials of CDA, children of different schools, members of civil society, traders unions and a large number of general public will participate in the campaign.
The purpose of launching of this campaign is to address the common complaints and issues of the general public at their doorstep.
This drive would also help improve overall state of capital city by creating awareness amongst the citizens with a message to own and transform their city.
“Clean  Green Islamabad Property” Campaign” would focus on maintenance of pot holes, roads lane marking, provision of missing manhole covers, maintenance of footpaths, repair of choked/leaking sewerage lines, disposal of stagnant water on roads, removal of rank vegetation, cleanliness and upkeep of parks, maintenance of green belts, upkeep of kids play areas, play grounds and other sports facilities. Roads, footpaths, manhole covers, leaking lines of water/sewage, street lights, median strips, green belts would be maintained in all respect.
The Member (Planning  Design), CDA, Syed Mustafain Kazmi, has been nominated as “Chief Coordinator” of the campaign.
The Director General Labour Relations, Rawal Khan Maitla will act as coordinator of the campaign.
