Clean and Green Islamabad’ drive shifted to G-10

Friday, April 26, 2013 - Islamabad Property—The “Clean and Green Islamabad” drive of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), in its second phase was shifted to the Sector G-10 of the Federal Capital.
CDA Chairman Syed Tahir Sarfraz inaugurated the second phase of the renovation, upgradation and beautification campaign. In the first phase, different formations of the authority accomplished the tasks in Sector I-10.
Talking to media-persons, the CDA Chairman said that the authority was making allout efforts to facilitate the residents of Capital.
The purpose of the campaign is to address the common complaints of the people at their doorsteps, he added.
The CDA officials, children of diffrent schools, members of civil society, trade unions and a largenumber of people are participating in the campaign.
The drive will help improve overall state of the Capital city by creating awareness among its residents with a message to own and transform it into a clean and green one.
During the campaign, focus is being laod on maintenance of potholes, lane marking of roads, provision of missing manhole covers, maintenance of footpaths, repair of choked/leakingsewerage lines, drainage of stagnant water on roads, removal of rank vegetation, cleanliness and upkeep of parks, maintenance of green belts, upkeep of kids playing areas, playgrounds and other sports facilities. A formal camp office was established in Sector G-10 for three days, which will be manned by focal persons of every formation of CDA along with their staff to record complaintsand suggestions from the citizens and to take measures for the redressal of complaints.
