mafia is active in the illegal sale of plots in Saidpur with impunity
in connivance with corrupt elements of Capital Development Authority
(CDA).
Land mafia has been given free hand by CDA to such an extent that earlier it used to occupy the tract of land adjacent to their rooms by constructing a room over there illegally. Now they have started selling the mountainous areas as well.
They sell out plot with the area equivalent to two rooms at the rate of Rs 50000 while the large sized plots are being sold out at the rates ranging between Rs 100000 to Rs 200000.
The citizens have demanded high ups of CDA to stop this illegal business of plots besides initiating action against the corrupt officials found involved in this unlawful transaction.—Online
